Hey, i’m Andrew Cowley a current Graduate Software Engineer employed by Applied Integration.

I graduated from Northumbria University in 2012 where i studied Computer Science BSc. As a computer geek my choice in course was not a difficult one. I was taught a range of skills at university from a variety of programming languages to design and modelling software. Overall i came out with a solid understanding of how software should be developed.

What pulled me towards an this engineering firm in particular were the projects that Applied Integration work on. During my interview they mentioned that they develop software for the Astute Class submarines.

The Astute Defence project is what i am currently involved in. Going from working on little projects in university to a huge project like that is absolutely mind blowing. It challenges me on a daily basis and i am always learning something new. Exactly what i was looking for in a career.

Thanks for reading and feel free to e-mail me!
