Applied Integration of Stokesley, North Yorkshire was founded by company directors Garry Lofthouse, Lee Raywood, Roy Coleman and Graham King. On the 1st August 2020 AI turned 15, this milestone is huge for Applied Integration on its mission to become a global leader in Digital innovation and new technologies.

AI, like many other businesses has faced many challenges, especially when in the startup phase such as building their customer base and having uncertainties about the future. Some of these external challenges which we have overcome include the 2008 Global Recession and COVID-19 in 2020. We as a company are very proud that we were able to adapt to these changes and strive in other areas. AI was ready for these challenges by preparing and looking into alternative markets which would be successful through these periods of change. During the COVID crisis, we made reusable visors using our 3D printing technologies and sent them out to NHS and care workers around the UK.

“Turning 15 is a fantastic achievement for the directors and staff helping us hit this milestone.  We have faced many challenges over this time, yet Applied Integration has adapted, remained strong and grown the business during these tough times.” Says Garry Lofhouse, CEO at Applied Integration. “We still strive as a business to achieve our vision and mission goals, inspiring digital innovation, pushing the boundaries of technology, be a great place to work and ensure that what we do, we do well”.

Applied Integration has made many huge accomplishments over the years. We have won a number of awards, some of these include the North East Manufacturer of the Year Company Finalists, recognition for delivering software which had the ‘best control ever seen’.  We are also delighted for recognition from the manufacturers, previously winning Siemens most active partner engagement. We are proud to create such strong partnerships with these companies and more recently being recognized as a Tier 1 supplier to a global defense, aerospace and security giant.
In 2017, Applied Integration set up a spin off company Applied Scientific Technologies (AST). AST are innovative specialists in robotics, automated control systems and hardware integration in the laboratory, chemical, pharmaceutical, physical and life science arenas supporting their clients digitalisation journey.
In 2018, due to the rapid growth of our company, AI moved their office and factory still staying in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. We increased our workspace by more than 500%. Our increasing team has been built through success of the company and by hiring specialised skill sets. We are proud to say that even during the global crisis of COVID-19 we were able to expand from 30 to 46 employees within 4 months. Developing new talent and investing into the future is important to us which is why we regularly take on graduates and apprentices.

It is critical over the coming years that the UK embraces more industrial automation to ensure we are self-sufficient and compete with the rest of the world. AI will be focused on helping our clients achieve their automation goals with new digital innovation and cutting edge technologies.
