Applied Integration UK Ltd has successfully installed new MSSQL2005 server for long term storage of all production data from two Aluminium Cast Furnaces, as an upgrade to the existing system. Offering improved storage capabilities and data retrieval with the upgrade of the existing custom Visual Basic applications. Along with conversion of old data format (in excess of 30,000 SQL Tables) to a new, more robust data format. Storage is now only limited by space and not to the constraints of MSSQL objects in a Database as with the original system.
The new data format allows site personnel to utilise standard MSSQL management tools including Auto Archiving, Cross Reference Analysis, Improved Performance and many more.
