Applied Integration UK Ltd has completed the integration of the extended Electrical Control System for the Banks Data Centre.
The switchgear enhancement included the installation of 2 new Power Distribution boards, Change-Over Units, Static Transfer Switch and upgrading of the existing Citect SCADA.
The original Citect visualisation was provided via a single node, as part of the switchgear enhancement, dual redundant Citect I/O Servers were installed along with panel mounted display clients for local indication at the switchboards. This new arrangement removes the original singal point of failure and provides local indication via the display clients. This enables engineers to monitor switching operations across the site to ensure changeovers and isolations are carried out safely and correctly.
Local monitoring of breaker positions and panel meters is carried out using WAGO Ethernet Controllers mounted and wired within the Power Distribution boards. Each Power Distribution board was fully Factory Tested and accepted by the client prior to release to site.
Applied Integration also provides 24hour call out support for the Banks Data Centre. Carrying our regularly preventative maintenance visits and full system backups across the site.
